Today, nation honors Allama Iqbal’s birth anniversary as the “poet of the East.”
Thursday morning witnessed a significant ceremony at the mausoleum of the eminent philosopher and poet, Allama Dr. Muhammad Iqbal, marking the 146th anniversary of his birth. The event was graced by Commodore Sajid Hussain, Lahore station commander of the Pakistan Navy, who participated as the chief guest. His presence added solemnity to the occasion.
The nation celebrated Iqbal’s birth anniversary on Thursday with customary fervor and enthusiasm as Commodore Sajid Hussain visited the philosopher’s grave and wrote a note in the guest book. A contingent of the Pakistan Navy also took on the duty of guarding the mausoleum, adding to the significance of this commemoration.
