At Jinnah Stadium in Islamabad, more than 18,000 fervent supporters of Pakistan’s football team showed unshakable support even after their team lost 6-1 to Tajikistan in the FIFA World Cup 2026 Qualifiers.
The Jinnah Stadium crowd, which was sitting only in enclosure seats due to FIFA regulations, was buzzing with anticipation for an outstanding performance by the Pakistani team on home soil. The official attendance for the match was 18,300.
Rahis Nabi’s spectacular left-footed strike in the 21st minute gave Pakistan a response despite Tajikistan’s dominant display.
But because of persistent problems, the home team was unable to give up a comfortable three-goal lead before halftime, and they added another goal in the 65th minute.
The game demonstrated Pakistani football fans’ unwavering passion and devotion, highlighting their commitment despite the disappointing result.
