Imran Chaudhri and Bethany Bongiorno, two former Apple designers, founded the open AI startup Humane. They just debuted their first product, the Humane AI Pin. The pin is notable for having a laser display that allows the user to use their palm as a small screen. With this feature they can view the time, date, and nearby information. This remarkable invention ranges from $699.
One standout aspect is that the device doesn’t listen all the time. Instead of it only starts up when the user interacts with it using voice, touch, gesture, and the laser ink display. This Humane AI Pin needs a $24 T-Mobile data plan per month in order to function. It is can be estimated that this invention is really going to replace smart phone.
The Open AI Humane AI Pin can access AI services from businesses like Microsoft, Google, and OpenAI and translate text in real time. It makes it easier to ask questions about information or music from science fiction movies by using big language models to provide responses.The Humane AI Pin will go on sale on November 16 after a financing round that raised over $200 million, with contributions from Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff and OpenAI CEO Sam Altman.
