Despite leaving the World Cup early, Pakistan will still receive this amount of money.
The team won four games and earned $160,000 despite being eliminated and placing fifth in the standings. For every match that ends in victory, the International Cricket Council (ICC) grants $40,000.
Additionally, the Pakistani team will receive $100,000 simply for participating in the group stage. Teams that lose in the semifinals will receive $800,000. The winning team in the ICC World Cup will take home $4 million, while the runner-up will receive $2 million. A total of $10 million will be awarded in prizes for the World Cup.
The ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 confirmed semifinalist teams are Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, and India. Semifinal 1 between India and New Zealand, Semifinal 2 between South Africa and Australia, and the Final on Sunday, November 19, are the events scheduled for the knockout stage.
