Zaka Ashraf, Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), recently lauded the substantial contributions of all-rounder Imad Wasim to Pakistan’s cricketing legacy. Imad, announcing his retirement from international cricket at the age of 34, received commendation from Zaka for his pivotal role in white-ball formats.

The chairman conveyed appreciation for Imad’s outstanding performances in his 55 ODIs and 66 T20Is during his international career. Notably, since making his debut for Pakistan in May 2015, Imad has amassed 1,472 runs and grabbed 109 wickets in his outings for the country. Zaka Ashraf emphasized that the PCB respects Imad’s choice to retire, citing the player’s commitment and contributions to the national team.

Imad Wasim left his mark on Pakistani cricket by playing a key role in the team that won the 2017 Champions Trophy and by often representing the country in ICC competitions. With his retirement, a chapter in Pakistani cricket comes to an end, and Zaka’s gratitude acknowledges Imad’s contribution to the team’s accomplishments as well as his broader influence on the game in the nation.
