Sahibzada Mohammad Shahid Khan Afridi is a Pakistani cricketer who served as captain of the country’s cricket team. He was born on March 1, 1977. Afridi was a right-handed leg spinner and right-handed batsman. He was the only, who was an all-round player.
In 1996, Afridi played his first ODI match against Kenya. He played his first international innings in his second ODI match against Sri Lanka. He broke the record for the fastest century in ODI cricket .In 1998, he played his first Test match against Australia. Afridi faced England in 2006 for his T20I debut. Afridi won the 2007 T20 World Cup player of the tournament award. In the 2009 T20 World Cup final, Shahid Khan Afridi was named player of the match after recording an undefeated 54.
