According to the Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA), Lahoris use 500 GB of free Wi-Fi data every day. The service is being used by an average of 50,000 people at 100 different access points across the city.
Over 1.2 million users have accessed our free Wi-Fi in the last month, using 11,775 GB of data in total. The goal of this project, spearheaded by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, is to give locals access to emergency communication. Assisting people in getting in touch with loved ones and law enforcement when necessary is the goal. Nevertheless, only necessary services are available on the free Wi-Fi network. It does not support entertainment sites like Facebook and YouTube, but it can be used for emergency apps, police communication, and taxi booking. Rather than emphasizing recreational use, the focus is on delivering required and practical connectivity.
