Pakistan’s possible playing XI for the third T20I against England

Pakistan’s possible playing XI for the third T20I against England. The third T20I between England and Pakistan will be played at Sophia Gardens in Cardiff on Tuesday. England currently lead the four-match series 1-0 after victory in the second T20I, the first match in Leeds was lost due to rain.

In preparation for the upcoming match, Gary Kirsten was seen helping Saim Ayoub in Monday’s practice session. Left-handed opener Saim Ayub spent a lot of time in the nets. However, there are speculations that Pakistan may drop Saleem Ayub for the next match. If that happens, Usman Khan is expected to replace him and open the innings alongside Mohammad Rizwan, with captain Babar Azam batting at number three.

The middle order will have powerful hitters like Fakhar Zaman, wicketkeeper Azam Khan, Iftikhar Ahmed and all-rounder Imad Wasim. This line-up gives Pakistan a strong foundation to score runs and accelerate the innings when needed.

Pakistan is likely to field a four-man pace attack led by Shaheen Afridi and supported by Haris Rauf, Naseem Shah and Mohammad Amir. Shadab Khan, who had a torrid performance in the earlier T20I with 55 runs in his four overs without taking a wicket, could be replaced. Naseem Shah is a possible alternative to Shadab, especially given cloudy weather conditions. However, if the weather improves, Abrar Ahmed can take the field instead of Shadab.

Pakistan’s probable XI for the 3rd T20I is:

  1. Saim Ayub/Usman Khan
  2. Mohammad Rizwan
  3. Babar Azam (C)
  4. Fakhar Zaman
  5. Azam Khan (wk)
  6. Iftikhar Ahmed
  7. Imad Wasim
  8. Shaheen Afridi
  9. Naseem Shah/Abrar Ahmed
  10. Haris Rauf
  11. Mohammad Amir

As the teams prepare for the third T20I, fans will be eager to see how these potential changes affect Pakistan’s performance and whether they can level the series against England.
