Petrol Prices to Drop further from 1st June.The government is all set to cut fuel prices once again, with petrol prices expected to fall by another Rs 4 per liter for the first half of June 2024 following a fall in international prices.
As of May 23, 2024, international petroleum product prices had declined by $1.68, bringing the price down to $96.19. If confirmed, this will be the third consecutive cut in fuel prices, with a total reduction of Rs 24.85 per litre. Apart from this, the price of diesel in the international market has decreased by 83 cents to 98.40 dollars.
The government is likely to reduce the price of High Speed ​​Diesel (HSD) by about Rs 3.5 per litre. Recently, domestic diesel prices were cut for the second time in a row by Rs 7.88, taking the current price to Rs 274.08 per litre.
With six sessions remaining before the next pricing session, final prices will depend on global market trends and exchange rates.
The new fuel prices will be announced at midnight on May 31, 2024, and will be in effect until the first half of June.
