The National Science & Technology Park (NSTP) at NUST and U Microfinance Bank (U Bank) have come to an agreement to work together on NSTP’s flagship programs, such as the Rising Stars Startup Competition and the Hatch8 Incubation Programme. This is a significant step towards fostering innovation and entrepreneurship in Pakistan. In a recent ceremony, Mohamed Essa Al Taheri, President and CEO of U Bank, and Engineer Javed Mahmood Bukhari, Rector of NUST, signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
The Rector was briefed by Mr. Mohamed Essa Al Taheri, President and CEO of U Bank, about the creative fin-tech projects his company has been working on. He also praised NUST for its numerous nation-building projects, top-notch academic facilities, and chances to foster various ideas and promote constructive social change. Rector NUST expressed gratitude for U Bank’s professionalism and dedication and expressed hope that the recently formed alliance will significantly contribute to the upbringing of the following generation of entrepreneurs and innovators.
Additionally, both sides talked about and came up with plans to enhance the wellbeing of the staff, parents, and kids, one of which was to create an endowment fund for students from disadvantaged backgrounds.
